Terms and Conditions of Sale and Deposit and Cancellation Policies

LODGING, CAR RENTAL, SHUTTLE, EQUIPMENT RENTAL, PACKAGE POLICIES

DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICIES - Policies vary by property and fall into one of these two sets of policies:

POLICY ONE (See list of properties applicable for policy one) : 

For Stays June 19, 2020* - December 17, 2020

 
Deposit: $0 Deposit
 
Final Payment: Full and final payment is due 48 hours prior to arrival, at which time the reservation is non-refundable and non-changeable.
 
Cancellation: Reservations cancelled at least 48 hours before arrival are fully refundable. Any changes made to a reservation within the 48 hour window are non-refundable and non-changeable.

Your payment constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

 

For Stays December 18, 2020 - January 2, 2021
 
Deposit: 10% Deposit, non-refundable
 
Final Payment: Full and final payment is due 45 days prior to arrival, at which time the reservation is non-refundable and non-changeable.
 
Cancellation: Reservations cancelled outside 45 days of arrival are subject to forfeiting the deposit. Any changes made to a reservation within the 45 day window are non-refundable and non-changeable.


For Stays January 3, 2021 - April 18, 2021
 
Deposit: $49 Deposit, non-refundable
 
Final Payment: Full and final payment is due 21 days prior to arrival, at which time the reservation is non-refundable and non-changeable.
 
Cancellation: Reservations cancelled outside 21 days of arrival are subject to forfeiting the deposit. Any changes made to a reservation within the 21 day window are non-refundable and non-changeable.
 
Your payment constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

*At this time, we are now accepting reservations for June 19, 2020 and later. This targeted lodging opening date is subject to change.

POLICY TWO (If property is not listed under policy one, policy two will apply):
 
Deposit: A deposit in the amount of one night, including taxes and fees, is due at the time of booking.

Final Payment: Full and final payment for non-holiday reservations is due 30 days prior to arrival, at which time the reservation is non-refundable and non-changeable. If a non-holiday reservation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival, all monies received will be forfeited. Full and final payment for holiday reservations touching Dec. 19, through Jan. 3, is due 45 days prior to arrival, at which time the reservation is non-refundable and non-changeable.

Cancellation: Non-holiday reservations cancelled outside 30 days of arrival are subject to forfeiting the one night deposit per room. Any changes made to a reservation may affect total package price. All changes are subject to availability. Changing property management companies is considered a cancellation and all cancellation policies apply.

Vail Resorts assumes no responsibility or liability for such errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. Vail Resorts shall have the right not to honor reservations or information affected by such errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. Vail Resorts shall have the right to make changes, corrections, cancellations, and/or improvements to such information or reservations based on such information, at any time, including after confirmation and/or payment of a reservation.

LIFT TICKET POLICY

All lift ticket products are non-transferable and non-refundable. Online PEAKS rates are only available online. Additional days purchased at the ticket window must be purchased at the window rate. When you purchase lift tickets, you will automatically be enrolled in the Vail Resorts "Peaks" loyalty program, at no cost to you. You will receive program information by standard mail and will be offered the chance to decline.

It is the responsibility of all adult passengers to present valid photo identification upon check-in with their airline. If you are a member of your airline's frequent flyer or other reward club, please present your club number upon check-in. Vail Resorts asks that all passengers reconfirm their flights, with the airlines directly,  24-hours prior to their departure. Prices are per person, and include all taxes & fees in USD. Airline baggage fees may apply and are not included in the price.

(NOTE: children's ski and snowboard lessons require helmets)

CHILD CARE/NURSERY & CHILDREN'S SKI AND SNOWBOARD SCHOOL POLICIES

Children's Ski and Snowboard School Cancellation Policy

  1. Your Credit Card may be charged up to 48 hours prior to your arrival.
  2. Changes or cancellations can be made by calling the Mountain Information Center at (970) 754-8245.
  3. A no call /no show, or cancellation within 24 hours prior to start date on a reservation will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. Lessons that are rebooked may have the cancellation fee waived.
  4. No refunds will be given due to weather.

Helmet Policy

Children age 12 and under must wear a winter sport protective helmet while participating in ski and snowboard school. In addition, children over the age of 12 who participate in designated children's classes or programs must wear a helmet. Rental helmets are available at our children's ski and snowboard school locations for your convenience.

While helmets may reduce or mitigate the severity of some head injuries, their use does not guarantee safety and will not prevent certain injuries. The Resort reminds you that every winter sport participant shares responsibility for his or her safety and for that of others using the ski area facilities. Always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing and snowboarding that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Know your ability level and stay within it. Become familiar with and observe "Your Responsibility Code" and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience.

Child Care/Nursery Policy

  1. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the first day of your reservation.
  2. Cancellations made within 48 hours will incur a $50 cancellation/processing fee.
  3. All cancellations made after 8:30 am same day of reservation, in addition to any NO CALL/NO SHOWS will be charged one full day and remainder of the reservation may be cancelled.
  4. All cancellations or changes to your reservation must be made by calling our centers directly. If you need to contact us call the Golden Peak Small World Nursery 970-754-3285.

ADULT SKI SCHOOL POLICIES

Reservation and Cancellation Policy

  1. Your credit card will not be charged at the time of your online request and will be charged upon your arrival at the Adult Ski & Snowboard School.
  2. Your credit card may be charged up to 48 hours prior to your arrival. 
  3. Changes or cancellations can be made by calling our Mountain Information Center at (970) 754-8245.
  4. All participants must check-in to the Ski & Snowboard School at least a half hour prior to their lesson start time to ensure their reservation can be fulfilled.
  5. A no call /or no show, or cancellation within 24 hours prior to start date on a reservation will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. Lessons that are rebooked may have the cancellation fee waived.

* No refunds will be given due to weather.
* No refunds will be given for unused days.
* You will be required to sign a VAIL RESORTS SKI SCHOOL ASSUMPTION OF RISK, HOLD HARMLESS, RELEASE OF LIABILITY prior to participating in your lesson.

PRIVATE LESSON REQUEST POLICIES

Reservation Request and Cancellation Policy

  1. Your online transaction is a Reservation Request. This product will appear as "Purchased" in the Trip Folder when the request is sent, not when payment is completed. Your credit card will not be charged at the time of the online request.
  2. You will be contacted by an agent of the Ski & Snowboard School prior to your arrival. 
  3. You will receive a confirmation email from the Ski & Snowboard School for this Reservation Request. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your request may not have been received. If this occurs please contact the Ski & Snowboard School at (970) 754-4300.
  4. Changes or cancellations can be made by calling our Ski & Snowboard School at (970) 754-4300 or by emailing us at VailSkiSchool@vailresorts.com.
  5. All lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson start time or you will be charged a minimum of a $100 cancellation fee. If a lesson is cancelled within 24 hours, the full lesson price will be charged if the instructor assigned to the lesson is not re-booked.
  6. Your credit card will be charged 48 hours prior to the start of your lesson. 
  7. All participants must check-in to the Ski & Snowboard School on time to ensure their reservation can be fulfilled.
  8. All children 12 and under will be required to wear a helmet while participating in a Private Lesson.
